Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993 and director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely credited with starting the modern scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in court situations. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with many research publications as well as numerous grants, is also the recipient of numerous national and global distinctions. She has advised many authorities and government agencies around the world about policies and research relating to the treatment of child victims by the legal system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
